Meet My Mama is an online caterer whose mission is to concoct “culinary trips” for companies or people in the Parisian region. The chefs are housewives from immigrant backgrounds and different cultures. Having, through their stories of great culinary skills (usually family transmissions), Meet My Mama takes them under its wing from the beginning to the end of the training by offering them to work in the catering department of the company. Trained at the same time (management, culinary design, etc.) by the association Empoyer My Mama and connected through the platform, the Mamas offer, in the form of themes, typical dishes from their culture.
Having noticed a deficient communication (few supports and bad exploitation of those), we decided to redo the logo and the website, as well as to create printed materials such as menus, information sheets for the dishes ordered ...
( Diploma project, in groups of two )
Our objective was to improve the visibility of the start-up and to allow a much wider diffusion with the creation of a new editorial support. People who don’t need a catering service but like to cook and discover new flavours can also use the book and thus get to know the start-up, the Mamas and their stories. Its notoriety would stimulate companies and individuals to offer their catering services but also to learn more about different cultures and people from immigrant or expatriate backgrounds.
This book of 240 pages is composed of 6 chapters, each of which includes several countries.
The cover and the guard pages recall the inside of the book, indeed we find photos of all the Mamas presented as well as the ingredients that we will find in various recipes.
We decided to put the Mamas at the heart of the project and to give a human and personal side to the whole book.
After a presentation of the Mama, her journey and her rapport with her culture, we introduce 3 of her personal recipes.  To do this, we pretended that the Mama invited us into her kitchen and that we made the recipe together.
